CEIT is
a pioneer private college located in the northern area of the Red
Sea city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The college has been established
in response to the growing demand for local university-level
educational institutions in the engineering and information
technology disciplines.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has witnessed changing job market
requirements coupled with an increasing number of high school
graduates. The engineering profession has been largely undertaken by
expatriate employees, with little participation from the local
population. This is partly attributed to the relatively limited
number of Saudi students who have had the chance to obtain
engineering degrees, or to get admitted in public universities.
Moreover, the expatriate population in the country has required
engineering education that was not adequately afforded by the public
universities. Out of this need, the private sector has started
playing a role in bridging the gap between the supply and demand in
the engineering job market. The establishment of the College of
Engineering & Information Technology is a significant step in this
endeavor.
CEIT strives to educate and qualify skilled engineers who would
provide the infrastructure for the support and development of
business, and for the prosperity of the community. We would like to
present our guidance and advice to our students, transfer our staff
expertise to them through various media, and follow up on their job
careers upon graduation. The programs offered include theoretical
classroom lectures, practical laboratory sessions, and on-the-job
field training in business establishments. We hope the candidates
would take appropriate steps to join CEIT, where they would find the
education and environment they very much aspire.
